Neciu Dan is a seasoned engineering leader with 15+ years of experience in the tech industry. He currently leads Perk Events as Engineering Manager and Staff Engineer, managing the team while staying hands-on in the codebase. Before Perk, he was Tech Lead at Rover, where he launched a multi-tier system across the US and Canada. Before that, he served as technical co-founder and Staff Engineer at CareerOS, where he spearheaded development, maintenance, and scaling of the main application, and held senior engineering roles at the New York e-commerce brand AdoreMe and the food delivery company Glovo. Today, Dan hosts the popular Señors at Scale podcast, organizes ReactJS Barcelona, and has created the international best-selling workshop Lizard to Wizard. He is also an esteemed international speaker and mentor, passionately encouraging best development practices with a keen focus on testing, accessibility, and security.
