Tucker Chapin
Tucker Chapin is a Software Engineer on Render's Expansion team, which helps large customers scale and evolve their applications by expanding the product to meet increasingly complex needs. His team owns a core slice of that surface, including builds, deploys, artifacts, static IPs, and ephemeral shells, the tools sophisticated teams rely on to ship and manage applications with confidence.
Before Render, Tucker worked at ShopMy, Kraken Digital Asset Exchange, and Staked, building his experience across fast-moving startups. Earlier in his career, he worked as a React & React Native Developer, building hands-on frontend experience that still informs how he thinks about developer-facing tooling today. On Expansion, he works at the intersection of infrastructure and customer experience to ensure that as businesses outgrow simpler tooling, Render is ready to grow with them.

Lint for the Dryer: Don’t Repeat Yourself in Reviews, Agents, or Docs

If you've left the same code review comment twice, it should probably become a new lint rule. And if you've written that lint rule, this is your sign that there's a component or hook you're still missing. Our team built custom ESLint rules for our React app to catch things like stale dependency arrays or hand-rolled versions of components we already have. We'll draw on those to look at how to climb that ladder, and just as importantly, when to stop.
