My wife’s language-learning journey started with an intense Google Sheet she built from scratch to track her comprehensible input to the minute and forecast her Spanish proficiency.

I transformed that spreadsheet into Polyo, a React Native app, shipped to prod in weeks, despite never having built a mobile app before !

Claude wrote most of the code (including a full rewrite from my initial vibe coded mess).  Through trial and error, I built up a dedicated AI harness repo that could help me ship to production with confidence! This meant having the correct context documentation, automated loops with reusable skills that maintain code quality and verify each change, and production monitoring to find issues early. It also helped to have the best QA tester in the business!

This talk covers what my setup looks like and how I shifted from total vibes to a context driven harness to help my wife achieve her quest of becoming a Polyglot!
