In 2013, I graduated with a BFA and took my first job as a Junior Graphic Designer at a small, boutique ad agency. While there, my Creative Director warned me to never let anyone find out I could code, because if I did I'd be stuck doing it forever. I ignored his warning; it turns out he was completely right, but I've never been happier. I currently work as a developer advocate on a wonderful team where I help people build web applications in React, design and maintain their UI component libraries, and desperately attempt to stop back-end devs from writing any more CSS.

I work in open source for the web! I'm an Astro core resident, Svelte and Vite core team member.

Thomas has contributed to dozens of enterprise Node.js services and has worked for a company dedicated to securing Node.js. He has spoken at several conferences on Node.js and JavaScript, is an O'Reilly published author (Distributed Systems with Node.js ), and is an organizer of NodeSchool SF.

A graduate in Web Design and Development from the Haute École Albert Jacquard in Belgium, Laura earned a gold medal in 2021, proudly representing Belgium at EuroSkills Graz 2021 in Web Technologies. Laura has been on a computer since the age of 6, always knowing that tech was her domain. Today, she works as a Full-Stack developer and consultant at Inside Software in the medical field. For the past year, she has been streaming web development on Twitch and hosting the show 'On est pas des iencli' on RTBF iXPÉ, the Belgian national media. Since her first conference in May 2023, Laura aspires to continue sharing her experience and knowledge through public speaking engagements.

Lindsey Simon is the VP of Engineering at Vercel. Making the Web faster has been his lifelong career ambition. Prior to Vercel, Lindsey spent seven years at Google, where he helped launch App Engine as an original core team member, and worked as a tech lead on the Google Translate and Web Performance teams. Lindsey has lived in San Francisco for the past 15 years, and his creative hobbies (beyond coding) include writing music and hunting for wild mushrooms.

Matthew is an internet video nerd. He's the co-founder and Head of Technology & Community at Mux, a startup building online video infrastructure for developers, a core-contributor to Video.js, the biggest HTML5 video framework, and the organizer of Demuxed, the largest video-focused dev conference/community in the world.

Júlio de Lima is a specialist in Software Testing with 13 years of experience. Júlio has a Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, a specialization in Teaching in Higher Education and a Master's Degree in Electrical and Computational Engineering with a focus on Testing and Artificial Intelligence. He currently lives in Orlando, Florida. He serves as Principal QA Engineer at Capco, helping financial institutions establish robust and sustainable testing strategies. He uses his coding and architecture skills to contribute to software quality at all system layers. Júlio has contributed to the software testing community through his channels on YouTube, Instagram, Spotify, and in articles for technical and scientific magazines. He has experience as a speaker at international events and has trained more than 9,000 students through his online training in Portuguese.

Current maintainer of RollupJS. After finishing my PhD studying the mathematical properties of black holes, I decided to go for less substance from then on and follow my passion of becoming a professional software developer. For the last six years, I have been doing full-stack consulting work for various clients at TNG Technology Consulting GmbH. This includes a big focus on DevOps: tuning Node servers, tending to Kubernetes clusters and orchestrating CI/CD pipelines are an important part my work. During this time, I also stumbled upon RollupJS, and while I originally only wanted to push a few improvements to their dead code elimination algorithm, I ended up rewriting it from the ground up. And in the process, I accidentally became acting maintainer of that project :) Since 2017 I have been continuously working on further improving tree-shaking, adding code-splitting together with Guy Bedford, and many other things to make it a great tool not only for optimizing JavaScript libraries but also for advanced and custom build processes at big companies like Github, Bloomberg, Salesforce and many others.

Daniel is a software developer and developer advocate for the IPFS and libp2p projects who brings over a decade of experience with the Web stack and distributed systems. He's passionate about open-source culture, developer tools, and the Web Platform, and enjoys applying insights from various disciplines to software development.

Fabien Vauchelles is the Anti-Ban Expert at Wiremind. With over a decade of experience in web scraping, Fabien's passion for code and technology helps him to bypass bans. He is the creator of Scrapoxy, an opensource proxy aggregator for webscraping. He had the opportunity to speak at Devoxx FR, Zyte’s Extract Summit and Voxxed Days.

I lead the Incubator team at Callstack, where we’re pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with React Native even further. I’m also part of the Microsoft MVP program. I’ve created a couple of libraries used by many React Native developers in their day-to-day work: Rozenite, Harness, and Voltra. Most of my work lives somewhere between developer tooling, React Native internals, and figuring out how to make things work even when they probably shouldn’t.

Austin is a husband, father, and software engineer. He enjoys volunteering in his local community and mentoring young developers. In his spare time he also contributes to open source, enjoys breakdancing, playing his cello, and Muay Thai.

By weekday, David is a RedwoodJS cofounder, GP at Preston-Werner Ventures, and developer in residence at 128 Collective, a climate philanthropy organization. At all other times, he is mostly “Dad”, often “husband”, and, when he can sneak away, enjoying the forest, ocean, and coffee shop near his home. He can be found in northern Northern California along the coast, gazing past his computer screen at the distant ocean (courtesy of the gratuitously oversized garage-office windows).

Andre is a passionate developer from Germany who loves building for the web. Based in the Bay Area, he is a Senior Developer Advocate at Neon and the author of Full Stack Web Development with Remix. He was previously a Senior Software Engineer at LinkedIn and holds master’s degrees in Information Systems and Computer Science. In his free time, he brings the community together through All Things Web events in San Francisco.

Muhyideen Akindele is a Senior Frontend Engineer with over seven years of experience building high-performance web and mobile applications across fintech, edtech, and gaming. He currently leads frontend architecture building production AI products like streaming interfaces, real-time LLM chat systems, and multi-step agent studios used by thousands of users daily. His work sits at the intersection of frontend engineering and AI product development, with a particular focus on how interfaces should behave when the system is still thinking. He is passionate about the craft of frontend engineering and the unique challenges that come with making complex, non-deterministic systems feel calm and trustworthy to the people using them.

Brian heads global developer relations at Algorand Foundation, where he helps devs learn, integrate, apply, and contribute to Algorand's open source blockchain technology to solve real world problems. Before joining the Foundation, Brian led global strategic technology transformation programs at Morgan Stanley, where he worked with commodities, exchange and OTC derivatives, Prime Brokerage, Brexit preparations, and digital assets over 15 years. When not on his laptop, he's probably cooking up something creative, literally or figuratively.
