Rachel Kaufman is a full-stack software engineer working in the martech space. She loves writing unit tests (seriously), strongly-typed languages, and the Oxford comma. She’s also a lead organizer with Women and Gender eXpansive Coders DC, a group for women and nonbinary people in tech in the Washington, DC area.

With 15+ years spanning distributed systems, real-time data infrastructure, and high-performance UIs across Google, Microsoft, Spotify, and Booking.com, Valerii is passionate about developer experience, low-latency systems, and bridging the gap between complex backend architectures and intuitive user-facing products.

Matija is currently a Director of Engineering at Workera, an AI-powered skills intelligence platform for enterprise workflows. At Workera, he leads teams that create assessments based on enterprise knowledge bases and evaluate employees' skills to guide further upskilling. Over the past 12 years, he has held various leadership roles in product and engineering across the financial, semiconductor, and education technology sectors. The main tech questions he enjoys solving are: “How can we get people to play to each other’s strengths?” and “How can we encode architecture so it doesn’t live only in a document or in people’s minds?” After work, his time is delightfully filled with being a parent to two young children, biking, swimming, following F1, and playing his current favorite game: GeoGuessr.

Tiki Lobel is a fintech software developer who leads a team at Rapyd to liberate global commerce and connect the world’s disparate payment systems into a single integrated network. Her team focuses on core API development and Tiki’s ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, and her understanding of complex dependencies within a larger system, make her an integral part of all product development in the company.

Marissa Masangcay is a Technical Marketing Specialist for Cloudinary and has worked for the company since 2017. She has also served as one of Cloudinary’s Developer Support Engineers, where she responded to customers’ technical support requests and feature-related questions, as well as debugged customer issues and wrote code samples in multiple development frameworks. She has also served as a volunteer instructor for Girls Who Code, which is a nonprofit dedicated to teaching girls in grades 6-12 the fundamentals of coding. Marissa graduated with her bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of San Francisco.

Richard is a Sr. Partner Solutions Architect at AWS focusing on Application modernization using Serverless and Containers. During his 3-year tenure at AWS he has played a pivotal role assisting partners & customers in various industries with their cloud adoption and modernization strategies. Richard collaborates with the development teams and engineering leaders to optimize software delivery in the cloud, emphasizing best practices and AWS's capabilities.

Dirk-Willem van Gulik is one of the internet engineers behind the world wide web and of the founding fathers of the apache web server. He was the President of the Apache Software Foundation during its first 10 years. He has worked for the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission, the United Nations, telecommunications firms, several satellite & space agencies and founded several startups. He participated in different international standards bodies, such as the IETF and W3C on metadata, GIS, PKI, Security, Architecture and Internet standard since the early days. He build the initial engineering team at the very first ‘webserver’ startup: Covalent, helped make big-data and the semantic web reality at Asemantics and created the first first instant play P2P viewer at joost.com. He was the Chief Technical Architect at the BBC where he shaped the audience facing development-delivery platform Forge in the time for the 2020 Olympics and where he made information security and compliance a core enabler for business processes. He provides technical due diligence to investors and assists companies with their technology; taking an (interim) CTO role where needed. He currently works on several medical and privacy intensive security projects with a heavy emphasis on Architecture and Governance. During the Corona crisis he assisted the Ministry of Health of the Netherlands, the EU and the UN with the `CoronaMelder'; where opensource, cryptography and security-by-design helped build trust. And, more recently has spend waay to much time in Brussels on the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) and the Product Liability Directive (PLD) as Europe brings in significant regulation of IT and Open Source. Jason Santos is a Senior Solution Architect at Rangle.io, where he is responsible for mentoring teams, understanding problems, finding solutions, and providing technical expertise to different projects. In the few years he has been at Rangle, he was able to contribute to the success of large projects in the Banking, Healthcare and Electronic Payment spaces, helping shape Enterprise architecture, leading teams and implementing full stack solutions using NodeJS microservices and cloud-native technologies, as well as both Angular and React. He brings with him 30 years of experience in building software across multiple languages and environments, from embedded software to IDEs and Debugging tools -- designing and implementing software frameworks and building applications on both back-end and front-end since the late 1990s. Being a certified SAFe Agilist, Jason is a strong advocate of process improvement, DevOps and agile delivery practices; he is also passionate about knowledge sharing and mentoring other developers.

Jeff Hoffer is the Technical Leader for Growth at Rollbar, working to improve Rollbar's current products and assist in developing new products that engage customers by bringing Continuous Code Improvement tools to where they are. With over 20 years of experience developing software for startups and enterprises, scaling to Internet traffic, building and maintaining commercially licensed products, and developing internal enterprise tools, Jeff has worked as a Software Engineer, Software Architect and in Director and VP roles leading technology organizations at Intuit, The Bouqs Company, Lunchbox (acquired), Accordent (acquired by Polycom) and Countrywide along with consulting work at many other prominent firms. Jeff has a passion for software development which is why he loves working at Rollbar so much with the focus on improving the professional lives of developers and the strong engineering culture.

Sam Stepanyan is an OWASP London Chapter Leader and an Independent Application Security Consultant with over 20 years of experience in the IT industry with a background in software engineering and web application development. Sam has worked for various financial services institutions in the City of London specialising in Application Security consulting, Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), developer training, source code reviews and vulnerability management. He is also a Subject Matter Expert in Web Application Firewalls (WAF). Sam holds a Master’s degree in Software Engineering and a CISSP certification.

Will divides his time between web development and teaching, and has ever since 2005, when he started his web development career removing duplicate data from his friend's map-based property search app. Since then he has coded and taught in diverse contexts, from national newspapers to the shores of the Atlantic ocean. A qualified school-teacher, he is nevertheless passionate about alternative forms of education. He has spent the last two years researching and building his home-ed support platform, Aldeia (using React, obviously).

Miroslav Malecha is Director of Product management at Bonitoo.io. He has a background in computer science and has been focused on defining software products in data science, enterprise architectures and cloud computing. Prior to joining Bonitoo, Miroslav held product management positions at Good Data and Hewlett-Packard Software. When Mirek is not working, you can find him speeding down hills on his ebike in the forests near Prague.

Kristina J. Robinson is a Software Engineering Manager at InfluxData. With over 20 years of software development experience, she is thrilled to be a part of the InfluxData UI team. Most recently, Kristina spent time in the financial tech sector working as front-end developer. Kristina graduated from Rice University with a degree in Computational and Applied Mathematics. She currently lives in San Antonio, TX, with her husband and teenage son, and has another son in college. She also has two cats, and fosters dogs and cats frequently. She plays video games with both her boys. She reads voraciously, enjoys paper crafts and knitting, and plays several musical instruments.
