The Workshop covered topics such as Nuxt3, Azure Static Web Apps, and Azure Functions. The participants created an insect encyclopedia-like application called Bucklopedia and deployed it to Azure. They also added styling, navigation, and functionality to the application. The workshop highlighted the ease of setting up a full-fledged API with Azure Functions and concluded with a successful deployment of the website.

We love easily created and deployed web applications! So, let’s see what a very current tech stack like Nuxt 3, Motion UI and Azure Static Web Apps can do for us. It could very well be a golden trio in modern day web development. Or it could be a fire pit of bugs and errors. Either way it will be a learning adventure for us all. Nuxt 3 has been released just a few months ago, and we cannot wait any longer to explore its new features like its acceptance of Vue 3 and the Nitro Engine. We add a bit of pizzazz to our application with the Sass library Motion UI, because static design is out, and animations are in again.Our driving power of the stack will be Azure. Azure static web apps are new, close to production and a nifty and quick way for developers to deploy their websites. So of course, we must try this out.With some sprinkled Azure Functions on top, we will explore what web development in 2022 can do.

The Workshop is about deploying Node.js microservices with Pulumi and Azure. It covers Docker, Kubernetes, Azure, and Pulumi concepts. The project uses a Monorepo approach and relies on gRPC and protocol buffers for communication between microservices. Pulumi is a flexible tool for creating infrastructure as code and supports multiple languages. The workshop also explores deploying applications with Helm in Kubernetes and discusses future plans for exploring microservices and database separation.

The workshop gives a practical perspective of key principles needed to develop, build, and maintain a set of microservices in the Node.js stack. You'll need an active Azure account, which you can create for free. Create a deployment pipeline by providing the necessary arguments and creating a variable with the deployment token. Finally, to clean up after the workshop, go back to the Azure portal and delete the resource group. Azure Machine Learning is a powerful tool for both experienced data scientists and beginners, providing tools for training machine learning models and scheduling experiments. In this talk, I'll show you how I perfected my moves building PoseDance, your friendly TikTok trainer. We'll discuss how I leveraged PoseNet, which allows you to pinpoint body motion and draw a 'skeleton' on a video. Combined with a webcam mapping your own dance skeleton, a bit of math to compare the matching points, Azure functions to authenticate a user, and PlayFab as a game-friendly backend to keep scores and create a leaderboard, you've got the perfect quarantine pastime, making a perfect fool of yourself in front of a webcam. Welcome to the workshop where we will run a static web app on Azure. We'll cover the necessary ingredients for running a web app online, including storage, reverse proxy, SSL offloading, load balancer, API server, routing, global scalability, and CI/CD processes. We'll deploy a shopping list app and extend it with additional functionality, API, security, and monitoring. Azure Static Web Apps simplifies the process of hosting static web content and backend APIs, providing a managed environment. The workshop covers the deployment process using GitHub actions, configuring fallback routes, creating and deploying Azure static web apps, adding APIs with Azure Functions, and troubleshooting deployment issues.

In this workshop you're going to deploy a JS app to our Azure Services. Obviously, we don't want to do this manually, so you're going to use GitHub actions to streamline this experience. Now that our App is on Azure, we want to make sure that we're aware of crashes and performance issues, so we'll add some App Insights in the mix.
