Voice interfaces that actually do things, not just chat back, still aren't shipping. The reason is that our apps are built for hands and eyes, not for an agent. This talk makes the case that closing that gap is a front-end problem, and that React already gives you what you need to solve it.
I'll walk through a real life case of voice surface, a layer that operates your React app as the signed-in user, and the three move-pattern behind it, all while the Developer is in full control of what and how.
This talk has been presented at React Day Berlin 2026, check out the latest edition of this React Conference.
