With a background that zigzags through UX, data science, and software engineering, he’s happiest at the crossroads of design and development. Before joining Figma, Akbar built civic tech apps like MigraCam to help people in emergencies, worked on improving design tools at Google, and taught students how to code their first iOS apps. He’s driven by curiosity, community, and the belief that good tools can make creative work feel a little more human.

Max is a software engineer and Nx and works on the core team. He spends a lot of his time building Nx & Nx Console - a VSCode and JetBrains extension for Nx workspaces. When not digging through code, he spends his time travelling, reading sci-fi and listening to music.

Marko is a software engineer and data visualization enthusiast specializing in geospatial technologies. Currently a Founding Engineer at Fused, he builds interactive geospatial applications using React and deck.gl. Previously, he was a Senior Software Engineer at Foursquare and a Tech Speaker at Mozilla. As the Director of Armada JS, Serbia’s largest full-stack JavaScript conference, Marko is dedicated to community building and knowledge sharing. He holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science and is pursuing a PhD in data visualization.

Amber Vanderburg is a multi-award winning businessperson, keynote speaker, author, and founder of the international learning development company, The Pathwayz Group, which has led 800,000+ learners in more than 75 countries in action-focused learning journeys. Amber's history in talent development includes authoring top-reviewed online learning courses for platforms such as LinkedIn Learning, Lecturio, and Pluralsight, acting as Director of a national education leadership company, and coaching with professional sports team academies in Asia. In 2022, she published her first business adventure book "Uniquely Better" about building higher team performance.

She leads the development of the DORA Community of Practice and is a co-author of the 2023 Accelerate State of DevOps Report. She helps teams develop a culture of continuous improvement to deliver improved well-being and better outcomes for the business.

Riccardo Erra is a developer advocate at Figma. He joined Figma as their first developer advocate in EMEA. Before joining Figma he worked as a software engineer for 15 years with the last few years spent as a design system engineer. At Figma he's empowering engineers to make the most out of the various Figma's tools tailored to developers.

Johnny loves (board|electronic) games, programming with a lot of parentheses and cycling. After receiving his MSc from Oxford, a short stint in San Francisco, an even shorter in London, he ended up home near Frankfurt. He famously got fired from Twitter in 2022, worked as Staff Engineer for Sizzle.gg afterwards and is now building the editor at Synthesia.

I gave up the glamorous life of a Chip Shop Chef to pursue a career in web development. Over half a decade later and I’ve worked at a handful of different startups around London, working with lots of amazing people and amazing tech. I’ve spent a lot of time in the Frontend space, building component libraries, running web accessibility workshops, and just having fun building user interfaces. I also created Component Odyssey, a course dedicated to teaching developers how to build a web component library that works in any web framework. I’ve also contributed to open source projects, like the Open UI, where I led the site rewrite.

Alberto is a senior software engineer and former startup co-founder. He has over 8 years of experience and has shipped the first WebAssembly modules in the open-source Prisma and Lyra projects.
