I gave up the glamorous life of a Chip Shop Chef to pursue a career in web development. Over half a decade later and I’ve worked at a handful of different startups around London, working with lots of amazing people and amazing tech. I’ve spent a lot of time in the Frontend space, building component libraries, running web accessibility workshops, and just having fun building user interfaces. I also created Component Odyssey, a course dedicated to teaching developers how to build a web component library that works in any web framework. I’ve also contributed to open source projects, like the Open UI, where I led the site rewrite.

His primary focus is on crafting exceptional user interfaces for Apple Maps, a globally renowned and innovative product. Proficient in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and other cutting-edge technologies, he strives to deliver engaging and responsive experiences for users. Prior to his role at Apple, he served as an Engineering Manager at Yelp, where he successfully led two teams of software engineers. His entrepreneurial spirit and creative vision are reflected in his co-founding and founding of several projects, such as CVSIntellect and DearWeb.

Joshua is a developer at Airbnb, working on improving the front end performance of the most visited pages on the site! Joshua cares deeply about ensuring fast experiences for everyone, and has worked on performance optimization and instrumentation to achieve this. From an early age, he strove to understand how things worked by taking them apart, and putting them back together. He became interested in machine learning in 2015, saw a larger need in the node community, and eventually became a maintainer of Brain.js and GPU.js. His desire to convey the simplicity of neural networks was manifest in his machine learning course on scrimba: Neural networks in JavaScript.

Kiril is a Principal Software Engineer @ Progress, specialised into building UI Component Libraries and an affinity for Design Systems. Focusing exclusively into this for the last ~8 years, he's been exploring the OSS space lately and build his own open-source Design System Framework.
