Joon Park

Joon is an engineering manager at Figma, working to bring developers closer to product design. Joon has been fortunate enough to work on software projects of all varieties, all the way from writing features for billions of Gmail users at Google, to centralizing platform engineering through Backstage at Spotify. He also authored the popular SQL Murder Mystery, and has conducted astrophysics research at Fermilab. Joon spends most of his non-engineering time composing and conducting music for community wind bands and orchestras. Whether the teams are musical ensembles or product builders, Joon is always focused on growing safe, high-performing, and learning-focused teams.
