In this workshop, you will learn how to use vee-validate to handle form validation, manage form values and handle submissions effectively. We will start from the basics with a simple login form all the way to using the composition API and building repeatable and multistep forms.

VValidate is the most popular Vue.js form validation library, known for its ease of use and progressive API. It provides first-class support for the composition API and helps developers build forms with validation in Vue.js applications.

Version 4 of VValidate introduced significant changes, including the transition from directives to higher-order components and support for the composition API. These changes were made to improve state management and reduce bugs.

In VValidate, form submissions can be handled using the onSubmit method, which provides the form values. You can prevent the default form submission and handle it using JavaScript to send data to the backend via asynchronous requests.

Field arrays in VValidate are used to handle repeating fields, such as multiple email inputs or dynamic forms. They can be managed using the FieldArray component or the useFieldArray composition API function.

Fields in VValidate can be validated using custom JavaScript functions, global validators (rules defined globally), or Yup schemas. Each method has its own advantages and can be used based on the specific requirements of the application.

The VValidate Inspector is a feature in the Vue DevTools that helps developers debug forms by providing a visual representation of form and field states. It shows errors, values, and validation states in real-time, making it easier to identify and fix issues.

Yes, VValidate can be integrated with other UI libraries such as Vuetify, Quasar, and ElementPlus. The Field component can render custom components by specifying the element type and binding necessary attributes.

The recommended way to declare validation rules in VValidate is by using Yup schemas. Yup provides a flexible and efficient way to define validation rules and can handle complex validation logic with ease.

Form reset can be handled using the resetForm action provided in the onSubmit method. Invalid submissions can be managed using the onInvalidSubmit method, which provides the context of the invalid submission, including errors and form values.
